Microsoft Access and
Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing
Distributing Microsoft Access Data and Reports in the Cloud
Take advantage of cloud computing directly from Microsoft Access. With EzUpData
you can upload files directly from Access to your private web sited hosted on Microsoft Azure and SQL Server.
The files can already exist on disk such as Access databases, spreadsheets, Word
documents, PDF reports, zip files, etc. They can also be files created from your
database on-the-fly using your tables, queries, and reports. The data and
reports can be filtered for each of your contacts so they receive files with
just their information. For example, you can take an invoice report and create a
web site where each contact can log in and see their invoices as HTML or PDF reports
(PDF available in Access 2007 or 2010).
Private file distribution on a highly scalable platform. That's what EzUpData
brings to the Microsoft Access community.
Upload Files from Microsoft Access
From Microsoft Access, open your existing MDB, ADP, or ACCDB database
containing your list of contacts and their email addresses. From the add-ins
menu, launch EzUpData for Access:
The EzUpData program is a Wizard that lets you create and manage Upload Jobs.
Without any programming, you can use the data and reports in your database to
generate files your contacts can see from your account on the EzUpData web site.

Create an EzUpData Upload Job
- Select your table or query with your list of email addresses
- Specify some or all of these types of files to upload:
- Pages from an Access report (in PDF format) with the ability to filter it for each contact
- Data from an Access table or query with the ability to filter it for each contact
- Existing files on disk
- Files contained in an Attachment field
- Files listed in a field in your table
- Optionally set a future publish date so you can upload now for
your users to see later
- Optionally set an expiration date so the files disappear from your
user's list at that time
- Set audit options so you can document when files were
uploaded to whom
- Upload your files to EzUpData immediately, or preview it first to confirm what your users will see
before they do
Your job specifications are automatically saved in your database so you can
edit, duplicate, and run them again in the future. You can also delete from the
EzUpData site, all the files previously uploaded by the job. You can create an
unlimited number of jobs.
Groups let you easily distribute identical files for multiple email
addresses. Rather than using an ermail address, you can use a group name to send
files that multiple users can see.
The Group Manager lets you create, edit and delete your Groups which are sets of
email addresses. This mekes it easy for you to share files like an Employee
Handbook to everyone in the Employees group, then add or remove people (email
addresses) from the group as necessary. Your people automatically see all the
files assigned to them individually and through their group memberships in one
list.
For VBA programmers, you can invoke an EzUpData function to bypass the interactive
Wizard and run these jobs directly in your applications. Tie it to a button or other
code to upload the files automatically.
A royalty-free EzUpData library is provided to support these VBA calls. You can distribute
this with your Access databases.
